Member Privacy Statement

The new EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) is effective from 25 May 2018, across all member states. To comply with the new requirements of this law, Monifieth Golf Links Ltd (MGL) has updated its Privacy Policy. The Policy provides detailed information on how we use and protect your personal information, and your rights in relation to this.

What will we do with your personal information?

Links Season Ticket Holders – we need to collect personal information so that we can manage your membership. We use your personal information to

  • set up your account on our own database
  • inform you of season ticket renewal fees, the dates due, and any special offers
  • regularly provide you with news items including competitions and events.

The information MGL is required to collect from you is on your application form. It will be retained as long as you remain a member and for a period of up to 3 years afterwards in case you decide to reactivate your membership or have queries about it.

What if you don’t want to receive news and other information?

The new law does not permit us to use your personal data to send you news or other information without your consent. We hope that you provide this as we believe this is how to gain maximum value from your membership. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. MGL is committed to protecting the privacy of its members and visiting golfers alike. Our relationship with both groups is important to us and collecting personal data goes a long way to maintaining those relationships.
