A ball landing in or over the Monifieth burn alongside the 12th fairway on Ashludie is out of bounds.

Those parts of the Buddon Burn to be treated as lateral water hazards are marked by red stakes.
On bridges over water hazards the margins of the hazard are defined by the inner edges of the yellow lines.
The pond to the left of the 10th and 11th holes of the Medal course is a lateral water hazard.

Moveable obstructions include direction posts, tee markers, and direction signs.
Immoveable obstructions include all staked or tubed trees, shelters, sheds, hydrant covers, bridges, steps, fixed seats, fixed tee and distance markers, the storage compound and toilets to the right of the Ashludie 4th green, and the safety fence at the back of the Medal 17th tee; lift and drop without penalty within one club length of the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole.
